All beef pre-orders will be ready for local pickup July 2025.
Quarter Cow is $7.30 per pound hanging weight. Hanging weight is approximately 125-200 pounds (this is what you pay $7.30 on). Bring home 80-115 pounds of beef.
Half Cow is $7.15 per pound hanging weight. Hanging weight is approximately 300-450 pounds (this is what you pay $7.15 on). Bring home 200-250 pounds of beef.
Whole Cow is $7.00 per pound hanging weight. Hanging weight is approximately 600-750 pounds (this is what you pay $7.00 on). Bring home 350-450 pounds of beef.

Our cows spend all summer open-range grazing in the mountains of the White River National Forest. They are 100% added hormone free, 100% pesticide free, and 100% antibiotic free!

Who Can Buy Beef? Anyone can order beef as long as you are able to pick up your order from the home ranch in Carbondale, CO. You will be 100% responsible for keeping your beef frozen on the drive home in July. We recommend preparing ice, coolers, or cold storage bags for transporting your beef home.
Pricing and Payment: We base our pricing on the hanging weight of the cow after slaughter when the hide, organs, head, and feet have been removed. We charge $7.30/lb hanging weight for quarter cows, $7.15/lb for half cows, and $7.00/lb for whole cows. When you place an order, we will ask you to pay a deposit: $750 for quarter cows, $1,200 for half cows, and $2,000 for whole cows. This deposit is a payment towards the total balance. Final price is determined after butchering and depends on the hanging weight. Included in the price is all butchering and processing into individual cuts.
We accept cash (in person), check (by mail), or card (email invoice). Please note that if you choose to pay with a card there will be a 3% processing fee added to your total. Before you can take your beef home you will be required to pay the final balance. Please do not submit your deposit until we have confirmed your order with you. Deposits will not be refunded if you abandon your beef.
How long will my beef feed my family? A family of 5 will use a quarter of beef in 4-5 months, a half in 8-10 months, and a whole in 12+ months.
How much freezer space will I need? A general rule of thumb requires 1 cubic foot of freezer for 25-35 pounds of beef. A quarter requires 4-6 cubic feet. A half uses 8-12 cubic feet. A whole requires 16-25 cubic feet. Make sure you have the available freezer space before you place an order.
How do I pickup my beef? You will pick up your beef from the home ranch in Carbondale, CO at the time we arrange with you. We do not ship or deliver at this time.
